DWIGHT YOAKAM WAS FANTASTIC!

Drove 2 hrs up to Albany to see Dwight and his band. I enjoyed his show thoroughly. He’s an amazing artist and it was a real joy to see him perform. Seeing Dwight Yoakam in concert has always been at the top of the list. My other top of the list was Joshua Bell the violinist so I have pretty eclectic music taste. As long as the talent is there and the music is moving then count me in. Dwight Yoakam is a rare talent. Right up there with Johnny Cash. My feet hurt today from dancing solo in the aisle of the orchestra level. I couldn’t sit still in my seat! Great great night and a wonderful memory.

DWIGHT AT IROQUOIS AMPHITHEATER

I have always been a fan, but this was my first time of seeing Dwight live. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED him! I was amazed at how incredibly wonderful he still sounds and how entertaining he was as he played, song to song, non-stop. His voice is truly a gift! I will see him again anytime he's in the area!

DWIGHT YOAKAM

It was a great show. Dwight still has it even having a cold. This is the 3rd time I have seen him. The South Jubilee was sold out. He still has the eye hiding cowboy hat. He did a tribute to Merle Haggard and a couple of others. Cannot wait for Dwight to come back. Also the auction of an autographed guitar was touching as funds go to the Vets in Canada.

DWIGHT YOKAM

It was hot but so was Dwight! First time me and my wife have seen him and we were pumped. I love his music and his voice and his band was awesome! A couple of cold ones made the heat a little more bearable. Go Dwight Go!....thanks for sticking it out and putting on a great show for us!

DWIGHT YOAKAM AT THE RYMAN, NASHVILLE, TN

The Ryman is a sacred place and once again the rafters were raised to new heights as Dwight Yoakam and his stellar band exceeded expectations. How can an artist burn so long and so extremely well? Dwight proved that his music comes from a special place within. Yes, there were his hits which were performed to perfection. And, yes there was still the hip-grinding boot-shuffling moves, albeit with a bit less passion than previous years. But this time Dwight showered us with his musings as he reminisced about his early Cowpunk days in LA and he even beckoned us all to watch the Beatles: Get Back documentary. The concert was inspired, and simply brilliant—a must see show if you can.

@ THE BAKERSFIELD FOX

My brothers & I traveled a couple hours each to see this show. We were not disappointed. Great venue, sound was good. The band was GREAT! Dwight was Dwight @ his best. & Why Not? The show was in BAKERSFIELD!! Pretty much one hit after another, a couple stories & the only problem is, he’s got so many great songs, he can’t play them all in 2+ hours!👍👍👍

We almost got rained out but the show definitely went on! Dwight Yoakam and his band are amazing! My dream definitely came true! It’s a must see show!

DWIGHT YOAKAM IN ALBANY NY.

Music and show was fantastic but the sound was toooo loud and I like loud music. Get a new sound man he should have noticed not only how loud it was but the people leaving because of it so loud it was distorted at times. My ears are still ringing. Still a big fan !

DWIGHT AT CREST

The show was fantastic but the sound was a bit muddled on Dwight's mic and Eugene's guitars. It was a little distracting and a little annoying especially for the price. The opening band "King Leg" was a big surprise with a smoking set and the sound was perfect.

DWIGHT ROCKS CALGARY

Saw Dwight Yoakam last night and thought his show was great. While Dwight was getting over a cold, his voice and singing were spot on, such a unique voice. His band was excellent (and yes loud) and rockn. I’d give the show a five out of 5 but there seemed to be a major problem with the sound coming from Dwight’s guitars. Both his electric and his acoustic (but especially his acoustic). The sound was really trebly and compressed which unfortunately really detracted from the overal sound of the band and Dwight’s singing. Great set list with lots of his hits and some great covers too. We sat near the front and while it was loud was still enjoyable. We thought the opening act, Brandi Clark was good too.

DWIGHT YOAKAMM

Fabulous show, he never stopped but kept transitioning from one song to the next. He did share his thoughts and reflections on artists and groups that were a part of his musical heritage. Theatre venue was great, comfortable seats and view. My only complaint was the loudness of the music and the sound in general. It just doesn’t need it. Well worth the trip to see him.

OVER SOLD

Of course Dwight will always be the STAR and his band too - the music, his style and voice - impeccable. However it was kind of hard to enjoy because of the jammed crowd for General Admission - people were getting more rude and invasive every minute after he took the stage (which was too long to wait with the opening bands.) Left early - it was distracting from his music to be constantly nudged into the sardines all around us. Guess saving up for the VIP tiks would be a personal goal for his next concert.

DO NOT MISS THE BAKERSFIELD BEAT!

Last night we drove 3 hours to see Dwight Yoakam and his incredibly talented band in Sparks. He was amazing! Song after song just one gem after the next. He told some funny and interesting stories. You got the sense he and the band were having a ball. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was the sound quality at this venue wasn’t the best. We will certainly see Dwight in concert again!

GREAT NIGHT WITH A LEGEND

Dwight and team delivered on a great performance Friday night in Milwaukee. Eugene Edwards was an unexpected treat delivering on the great Telecaster sound and showmanship. The upper balcony sound had muddy mids which was disappointing.

DWIGHT YOAKAM

Dwight...your a wonderful performer and song writer. Have to say I saw you in Cranbrook BC, and last night at the Jube. I have to tell you your singing voice is incredible but ....when you switched out guitars all of a sudden the sound was not near as clear. It happened in Cranbrook as well don't know if its the speakers or the guitar your changed but your words were hard to understand and a lot of people I sat with thought the same. I am a huge fan of yours for years, thought you should know.

GREAT MUSICIANS, DISAPPOINTING SOUND

Great musicianship, awesome guitar licks and Dwight hit all the notes, however the front of house sound was awful - yes, in the best sounding room anywhere. Dwight’s vocals were feeding back up until the second to last song and his guitar sounded like nails scratching on a blackboard. Whoever produced the front of sound owes the band an apology and the audience a refund. What a waste of a potentially great evening.

GOOD

All in all a great show! Could do really without the electric guitar portion of his show. WAY TO LOUD causing many to leave his show early! Definitely not country in any way & really took away from the rest of his show for me! Without that 10/10 with 7/10!

EAGLES BALLROOM

Was so looking forward to this show...left disappointed. Firstly, the venue was terrible. With no A/C my phone recorded 110 degrees in stagnant conditions! Unacceptable! Floor fans didn't cut it! Usher took us to our seats, shortly uprooted by another usher to other seats.(There were plenty that were still open!) Opening act was 1 hour long...people were getting anxious. Then Dwight came out...still has got it! We were excited...that faded as he hardly did any of his well known songs i.e. Fast as You, Guitars & Cadillacs etc. Whoever was doing the sound mix stunk! Lead solos were blasting, voice was garbled...true turn off! We love Dwight, but the conditions made us leave before the encore! Never again!

SOUND BAD

To me one of the best voices of all time. The band was so loud you could t hear him. It was so disappointing because he and Strait have the voice talent. Hope he does an acoustic tour in the future. The sound engineer needs to find a new job

THE SOUND REQUIRED EARPLUGS AT THE BAKERSFIELD FOX

I have seen Dwight Yoakum 3 times now. Two at the Bakersfield Fox and once at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. Wow, I have NEVER liked how tinny and loud his acoustic guitar sounds when he switches to that. The vocal nuances are impossible to detect because of the loudness. I have needed earplugs the last two times I have seen him because I am older and trying to protect my hearing. I won't go again. Sorry Dwight!

POOR

It was a good concert overall but I have to say he needs to work the crowd a little better than that. He has a whole bunch of hits which he hardly play. Most of the crowd was just not into the music that he was playing. Pardon me for voicing myself. Fan of he's for over 30 years

LOVE DWIGHT YOAKAM

We were really turned off by his second act. His first act Thomas Mac was really good. The second act Aaron Lewis was terrible. How Dwight could even be affiliated with such a vulgar filthy human being. It was nothing but a political speech the whole hour he was up there. Then Dwight came on and he had so much feedback and mic issues it didn’t even sound like him. It was too loud in the front where we were and it just sounded terrible. One of his band members had to stop singing because he forgot the words. I know Dwight can do better than this. And he even acted like he didn’t want to be there.

SO TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED

The opening band was fine -- it's nice to see a new talent who can actually sing. When Dwight came on stage, we were ready for a great show. Alas, as long as he was playing the electric guitar, it was utterly impossible to hear Dwight's unique vocals. The balance was terrible. In fact, the instrumental volume was so loud, my husband compared it to a sonic weapon (usually used to disperse mobs or to even injure or kill an opponent!). We enjoyed the songs he performed with the acoustic guitar -- the balance levels were still off, but at least we could hear Dwight's voice. When he went back to electric, we had to get up and leave, which was a crying shame after spending that kind of $. One would think that a performer of that caliber would have a better sound team. I've attended Def Leppard, Journey, & Imagine Dragons concerts this year, so I'm not unusually sensitive to volume. Dwight's concert was like jamming a fork down my ear. (And we weren't the first to leave early!)

DWIGHT YOAKAM AT VANWEZEL, SARASOTA

The sound mixing for entire concert was disappointing for Dwight and opening act. Couldn’t wait for it to end. Shame on Dwight and VanWezel.

SO DISAPPOINTED AND I LOVE HIS MUSIC

We were about 4 rows back and it was so loud I couldn’t stand it. I could hardly hear his voice at al. Went out to tell manager and he asked me if I wanted some Ear plugs. Great management there. Blamed it completely on the band and said they choose the sound and nothing they could do. I would never go back to this facility . I left early and wish I never spent my money there. Other people around us were all leaving and holding our ears.

2.0 star rating Frances from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

SOUND WAS BAD

Band was so loud we couldn't hear a thing he was singing. One of bands guitar had a ting sound that was, to say the least, annoying and all I could hear. Needs to tone down band to hear his beautiful voice. I understand they call themselves hard country but that shouldn't mean hearing a ringing noise all night. Please fix your sound Dwight.

2.0 star rating Pam miller from Los Angeles, California

BAD SOUND

The opening act played way to long. I was beginning to wonder if Dwight was even at the venue. No interaction with the crowd. The electric guitars were way to loud. The sound engineer needs to step up his game. The last ten minutes of the show was the best part, he played 3 hits and joked that the rest of the show was just a sound check and that the crowd should be happy that they didn’t have to pay extra for it. Worst concert experience ever!

1.0 star rating Kate from Bozemant, MT

TOO MUCH TALKING, NOT ENOUGH MUSIC

I love Dwight Yoakam and was so excited to travel to Vegas to see him in concert at the Encore Theater. It was a 3.5 hour concert and 80% of it was him talking about the history of country music legends. It is obviously something he is passionate about but it would be better fit for a documentary than a concert. People were getting up and leaving. He played 45 seconds of each greatest hit in the last 10 minutes of the show. I could have shown up then and been perfectly happy.

SOMETHING OFF

Something was off with Dwight May 19 in Reno. Terrible performance. Lucky he has a good opening act, Thomas Mac.
